Dave holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Classical Guitar from Shenandoah University, a Masters of Music Degree in Jazz and Commercial Guitar from Towson University, and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from St. Mary’s College of MD. He taught applied guitar, guitar ensemble, guitar pedagogy, music theory, ear training, and class guitar at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV from 2000 to 2005. Dave also implemented a highly successful guitar education program for Line 6 employees at their main offices in Calabasas, CA.
Dave is a composer, a performer, an educator, and a writer. He’s released a number of recordings including his popular Lullabies "Star Wars," "Original Lullabies," and his latest "Jimmy Buffett Lullabies." He's currently composing, and recording music for a series of short films that are being written and produced in Market Harborough, England. Dave also has a number of guitar based instrumental collections including; "Cool Covers," “Waves of Soul," "The Dave Reynolds Surf Project," "Welcome Home," "Meet You In SoCal," and "Reflections 2020."
Dave spent a number of years touring as an onstage guitarist with musicals “Jingle Bell Rock,” "Beehive," and "Little Shop of Horrors." Dave performed as a solo classical guitarist five nights a week for three years at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC where he released two recordings; “Live from The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel,” and “Partenza.”
Dave has written a wide array of blogs that include book reviews, personal perspective pieces, along with his most recent series titled "The Dave Reynolds Project Surfing and Music Industry Interview Series."
He continues to compose, play gigs, and write articles for his blog. Dave also loves to surf, ski, hike and run.
